The largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance leaves no plans to issue its payment card in Russia, according to Cointelegraph. Despite the unfriendly position of the national Ministry of Finance on working with digital instruments in the country, aimed at partially banning transactions with such assets, the crypto company continues to work on a plan to launch plastic.
Among the main goals of the trading platform is the provision of equal opportunities for all segments of the population to work with digital currency, observing local legislation. “We are working on launching the card in the Russian Federation, but we are not yet ready to set the exact date or provide a normatively grounded opinion on this issue,” said Gleb Kostarev, representative of the crypto exchange in Russia, noting that the Russian direction is assessed as promising for the company.
Recall that the Binance card allows its holders to pay for purchases with digital assets without converting to fiat. The company plans to launch this project in 200 regions of the world.
