Bittrex, a cryptocurrency platform, announced that it will suspend customer service in several countries – Ukraine, Belarus, Burundi, Mali, Myanmar, Nicaragua and Panama. It is noted that the main reason for such a decision was the need to bring the regulatory framework in accordance with the requirements of these jurisdictions.
“We are proud that we are not only one of the safest cryptocurrency trading platforms, but also the most strictly regulated,” the exchange representatives write on their blog. They recommend that residents of the above countries withdraw their funds by September 24, since after this time the service will be suspended.
“Bittrex Global’s compliance teams monitor the regulatory environment in all countries in which it operates, as well as the interaction of rules and regulations in all of its affiliates. Despite the fact that this is not an easy decision, our team believes that a pause in the provision of services in these jurisdictions is the best course of action, ”concluded Bittrex experts.
