The Association of Blockchain Technologies will contribute to the promotion of innovative technologies in Switzerland. It will be based in the Italian-speaking canton of Ticino. The main goal of the new department is to help develop research and promote enterprises working with blockchain.
“The Association promotes and fosters research in the field of blockchain, bringing together the public and private sectors with the aim of fostering the development of all technologies related to distributed ledger technologies and decentralized applications,” reads the official website of the Association. So, the initiative will bring together higher education institutions, research centers and private companies.
In particular, the University of Lugano and the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland, Bitcoin.com, StrongBlock.io, Poseidon Group, Pangea Blockchain Fund will take part in the work.
