Libra Association will not create a single global cryptocurrency

Libra Association said it would not implement the project of a single digital currency, provided with a basket of fiat funds of large states. The updated white paper contains information that the company will now focus on creating stablecoins, each of which will be tied to one of the currencies: USD, GBP, EUR, and intends to obtain a license from the regulator FINMA (Switzerland) and FinCEN (USA).

The changes, according to the developers, will make it possible to change the attitude of regulators to the project. Many departments continue to believe that launching a single digital currency could be detrimental to a single financial system.

We add that the Libra Association was assured that the project will be launched this year.
