Robert Kiyosaki Warns of Looming Capital Market Crash as Bitcoin ETFs Stand Out; Here’s What’s Happening

Capital markets may see difficult times ahead, a warning to global investors. That is according to a reflection by Robert Kiyosaki, a prominent personal finance expert. In his tweet shared on Tuesday, the famous investor disclosed that a significant financial crash is looming in the bond and stock markets, an event that could cause havoc if not unchecked.

The development comes as data show Bitcoin ETFs are gaining substantial interest, a trend the American investor and author best known for his time-honored personal finance book, “Rich Dad Poor Dad,” highlighted in his revelation.

An imminent global financial collapse and why

Early this week, Kiyosaki warned that a major stock-bond market crash has begun and that its real effects will be felt over the coming year. He cautioned that the economic downturn in 2026 has already begun. He also said financial markets in Japan and Europe are already showing the impact of a wider recession spreading worldwide.

In his 2002 book Rich Dad’s prophecy, Kiyosaki warned about a severe slump in stock and bond markets. In his Tuesday tweet, he said such scenarios are now opening up in 2026 and could expand globally.

The expert identified several factors (including the AI craze, tension in the Middle East, rising government debt, and the Baby Boomer generation entering retirement) as contributors to the unfolding economic meltdown.

In his Tuesday account, Kiyosaki foresees risks that could significantly impact investors holding retirement savings through accounts such as 401(k), IRA, Superannuation, and RRSP. The renowned financial expert compared the potential downturn to the Great Depression, which lasted from 1929 to 1954.

He narrated that when the Great Depression hit the US, the stock market devastated the global economy, and Americans endured economic catastrophe. Despite the loss, great minds, including the Kennedy family, Walter Chrysler, and William Boeing, grew their wealth during the market crash. He used this to show that prepared investors can benefit from an unfolding difficult period.

Is Bitcoin becoming the answer?

Amid the anticipated economic catastrophe, Kiyosaki named assets he often uses for preparation. He mentioned gold, silver, Bitcoin, profitable real estate, and private businesses as top instruments that he utilizes to shield himself from recession.

His comments come as Bitcoin ETFs experience renewed investor interest amid rising market and monetary risks. Data shows that Bitcoin funds continue to gain significant traction in the ETF landscape, indicating they’ve become a vital instrument for ETF investors.

According to market analysis, this growing trend stems from a phenomenon called debasement trade (governments printing money to finance deficits), which erodes the value of fiat currencies. As a result, investors turn to alternative assets, such as gold and Bitcoin, to hedge their fortunes against currency debasement.
