Samsung released a chip for secure transactions

Korean technology giant Samsung Electronics announced the development of the Secure Element (SE) chip (S3FV9RR) and advanced software with the ability to work regardless of the device’s main processor, which will allow crypto transactions from gadgets to be completely safe.

It is worth noting that the chip has already passed the certification procedure and complies with the CC EAL 6+ standard used in programs that require the most stringent security requirements for flagship phones, electronic identifiers and hardware crypto-wallets.

“We expect that the devices connected to the chip will be protected as much as possible and will allow to store the stored information, as well as provide operations such as mobile banking, exchange trading and transactions with digital instruments with the highest degree of security,” said Vice President of System Marketing LSI Samsung Electronics Dongo Shin, emphasizing that the new development of the company establishes “powerful deadbolts” on gadgets in order to protect users’ personal data.

Samsung’s chip is expected to go on sale in the third quarter of this year.
