The head of the Duma committee on financial market Anatoly Aksakov noted that during the meeting with representatives of the upper house of the Federal Assembly on the restoration of the national economy, the parties considered the issue of early adoption of the national law on cryptocurrencies.
Anatoly Aksakov also voiced the need to separate the regulatory act on digital currency and digital financial assets. So, he clarified that the first of them is still controversial and debatable and cannot be considered fully worked out for adoption in 1 reading, while the “Law on Digital Financial Assets” is ready and members of the business community are asking parliamentarians approve it as soon as possible. “There are similar positions, and businessmen asked to expedite the process, so we made a proposal and the government supported it,” he concluded.
