American investors will not be able to count on a 110% return after the launch of the Telegram Open Network (TON) digital messenger project, the next letter sent by the team of Pavel Durov to their partners says.
Thus, investors from the United States of America will be able to get back only 72% of the initial investment. It is noted that Telegram made such a decision in connection with the position of US regulators regarding the recognition of Gram tokens as securities.
Recall, in the framework of agreements with investors, which envisaged the launch of the network before April 30 of this year, Telegram now agrees to return 72% of its funds to its potential partners. It is worth noting that last week the management of the messenger offered investors two options: either return the agreed amount right now, or get 110% after the successful launch of the platform within a year. To provide guarantees, Pavel Durov announced his readiness to sell the stake in the messenger in order to return the money in case the US regulators would not allow the project to be launched on time.
