The activities of central banks in the issuance of national digital assets (CBDC) will determine the future of the financial system in the future, according to the lava of the crypto-division of payment giant Visa Kai Sheffield. He noted that the position of the authorities will outline a scenario for the development of such tools (for example, their availability to the public, data privacy).
“At the moment, the reality is that interest in currencies developed by central banks is not getting smaller,” said Kai Sheffield.
It is worth noting that the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) adheres to this point of view. In its latest report, the regulator announced the imminent evolution of means of payment against the backdrop of the ongoing caldemic of the coronavirus.
