The Chinese authorities have created a national council that will create industrial standards for the blockchain industry, The Block reports, citing the Ministry of Industry and Informatization.
The new department will include 71 representatives, including, in particular, specialists from the country’s largest technology companies, such as Baidu and Tencent, Huawei, Peking University and Tsinghua University, and others. The Council will be led by Deputy Minister of Industry Chen Zhaoxiang.
We add that the national Council for Standardization of the blockchain was created after approval by the national Committee for Standardization, and until May 12 it asks the public to send feedback and comments on its main functions, which should be sent to the Department of Science and Technology.
