About DATA

Streamr’s mission is to build a decentralized infrastructure for real-time data, replacing centralized message brokers with a global peer-to-peer network. The project aims to allow users “to publish and subscribe to cryptographically-secured data streams, trade real-time data on the marketplace or use Core, the real-time data toolkit”. The DATA token is an ERC-20 token used across the Streamr platform. It is used for payments on the Data Marketplace, and the incentive mechanism on the Streamr Network.
