The site, which was one of the first to announce the placement of tokens of the Telegram messenger (Gram) after their approval, Blackmoon Crypto, announced its closure. The main reason for this decision was called by management difficulties of functioning against the background of tight regulation by the authorities. According to the head of the cryptocurrency exchange Oleg Seydak, in terms of compliance with the laws of the European Union and, in particular, the Fifth Directive on combating money laundering (AMLD5) and constantly changing work requirements, it is not possible to carry out activities.

Notification letters have already been sent to users, and last week Blackmoon Crypto raised withdrawal limits and canceled transaction fees. Customers who own the company’s internal asset, BMC, can exchange them for USDC from April 24.

We add that Blackmoon Crypto was launched in 2017 by the fintech company Blackmoon Financial Group, the main activity of which is related to the creation of proposals for tokenized investment funds.
