Information about the users of the Coincheck cryptocurrency exchange got into the network. This was written by representatives of the platform on their official page.

In particular, the personal data of two hundred clients who made inquiries from May 31 to June 1, 2020 were stolen. The scammers became aware of the initials, mail and email addresses, phone numbers, as well as ID-selfie. Coincheck notes that the leak was made possible due to access to the domain registration service.

“In this regard, we also asked the operator of the domain registration service to conduct an investigation and will immediately inform you when new information is discovered in the future,” representatives of the crypto exchange said to their customers.

Recall that in 2018, the platform has already become the object of attention of attackers. Then the total damage amounted to 574 million dollars.
