Only registered miners will be able to continue operations in Iran, said Iran’s First Vice President Eskhak Jahangiri. In order to legally carry out production in the region, it is necessary to obtain a special permit within a month. Such a policy, according to officials, will allow the industry to withdraw from unregulated space and establish control over the local mining industry.

According to the order of the authorities, market participants must submit to the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade personal data and information on equipment used in mining. After checking this information, the regulator will decide which of the specialists will be allowed to work in the country.

We add that the Iranian authorities apply harsh sanctions to miners operating in the country, including imprisonment and heavy fines.
