The Nasdaq Stock Exchange will use the capabilities of the R3 Corda platform to develop options for working with digital instruments. Collaboration will help manage new institutional-level assets and will help strengthen transparency standards using Corda Enterprise. The blockchain, in particular, was integrated into the Nasdaq system to combine several services, such as, for example, data monitoring and publication of reports. Users can use Corda to support the issuance, trading, settlement and storage of digital assets.

“Together with Nasdaq, we are introducing a world-class venue that can drive rapid growth in both digital asset markets and other markets around the world,” said Katie Minter, Director of R3 Revenue.

Recall that in September last year, the consortium announced a partnership with Mastercard. As part of the joint work, the parties intend to develop a cross-border payment solution based on distributed registry technology.
