The digital yuan will allow the application of partial anonymity of transactions

The developers of the national currency of China are currently testing the possibility of partial anonymity, where the seller will not be displayed in the transaction record.

The solution will enable customers to transfer funds via gadgets even without an Internet connection, while currently existing developments (for example, WeChat or Alipay) allow electronic payments at least with a connection to the merchant’s network. The incentive for the transition to the digital yuan, in addition to two-way offline payments, may also be a reduction in transaction fees.

We add, last week it became known that the Shenzhen authorities carried out the first distribution of the new token among the residents of the city. The winners of the promotion received 200 yuan in cryptocurrency each, which had to be spent in Chinese stores until October 18.
