Agricultural producers from India will now be able to sell their goods to companies from the United Arab Emirates using the Agriota E-Marketplace blockchain platform.

It should be noted that in this way the representatives of the Arab state intend to ensure food security through the transparency of supplies. The parties see the main goal of facilitating joint work in the direction of agribusiness. “We intend to make the country an innovative global hub in this area,” said Indian Ambassador to the UAE Pavan Kapoor.

It is worth noting that the system was created by the Indian company CropData Technology in conjunction with the Dubai Multidisciplinary Commodity Exchange. The countries have been cooperating quite closely for a long time, for example, last year alone, the volume of food supplies from India to the UAE exceeded $ 1 billion.
